alphanumeric lot numbers. Lot numbers identify the dat of manufacture of
the product.
Key to reading six-digit alphanumeric lot numbers
Mallinckrodt lot numbers contain three segment of information. For
lot number V02C02, the lot number reads as follows:

The first letter is used to designate the year of manufacture.
L = 1997
M = 1998
N = 1999
T = 2000

V = 2001
X = 2002
Y = 2003
A = 2004
B = 2005 |

The two-digit number designates the calendar week the material was produced. |
The three-digit manufacturing identifier can be numeric or alphanumeric and represents
a unique lot of material. |
Examples:
Lot Number V02C02 was assigned to material produced during the 2nd
week of 2001.
Lot Number M39015 was assigned to material produced during the 39th
week of 1998.
Mallinckrodt Laboratory Chemicals manufactured prior to 1997 are marked with
